Stop old patterns — create freedom, joy, and lasting change
You’re not doing this for fun
Unhelpful habits (“bad habits”) are not a sign of weakness. They’re a sign that your brain is trying to protect you, even though it doesn’t work in the long run. And you know that.
Many people seek help for behaviours such as:
- Smoking habits
- Sugar cravings, overeating, or binge eating
- Alcohol as emotional regulation
- Overworking, overachieving, and perfectionism
- Screen or gaming behaviour
- Nail-biting or picking, biting lips/cheeks, trichotillomania
- Jaw tension and other stress-related self-directed behaviours
- Procrastination
- Putting your own needs aside to please others
Here at Prue Bach Hypnotherapy in Vejle, you’ll get help creating lasting change — without shame, without willpower, but with respect for your needs, feelings, and habits.

Behind these behaviour patterns, there’s often one of two things:
An unconscious habit
- that the body and brain have learned as a way to soothe or regulate.
Or an emotional driver
- where old patterns, experiences, or trauma create inner unrest that is then soothed through action.
At Prue Bach Hypnotherapy in Vejle, I help you figure out what’s really going on for you — so you can get a solution that works right at the core.
These unhelpful habits can feel like temporary relief from discomfort, stress, emptiness, or old patterns.
But when habits become overuse and automatic, they can lead to:
- Low self-esteem
- Anxiety, insomnia
- Stress & mental overload
- Physical reactions, pain, and imbalance
- Isolation or the feeling of living on autopilot
You deserve lasting change — not temporary relief.
When you realise your habits have deeper roots — like emotional wounds, stress patterns, or a feeling of having lost yourself — it’s often not enough to change the behaviour alone.
That’s why it may make sense to read more here:
Anxiety and inner unrest
– if you experience excessive worrying, restlessness, or fear that drives your habits
Stress and imbalance in the body
– when your nervous system is overloaded and your body says “enough”
Self-worth & confidence
– if your habits are linked to inner criticism, self-sabotage, or low belief in yourself
Trauma, emotions & relationships
– if you’ve experienced emotional wounds or keep repeating patterns in your relationships
When you’re ready for the next step, I’m here with a gentle, focused approach — so you don’t just change your habits, but rediscover your strength, freedom, and agency.

Your first step towards change starts here.
Is this relevant for you?
- You “just have to…” do something, even though you don’t want to
- You reach for food, sugar, alcohol, screens, control, or avoidance
- You feel shame, guilt, or not good enough afterwards
- You’ve tried to stop without success
- You want to understand why — not just stop the behaviour
- You experience setbacks or feel like a failure when you don’t succeed
- You feel trapped in a vicious cycle
- You feel like your body has a mind of its own and acts without your consent
- You hide the behaviour because you’re embarrassed about it
- It feels like the discomfort inside quickly becomes a prison to live in
Prue Bach Hypnotherapy helps by working with the cause — not just symptom management, but deep release
It’s about setting yourself FREE, so you’re in control of your body, mind, and choice patterns — because you can.
The FREE-and-HEAL programme is designed for exactly that (QHT® programme).

Habits and impulses are rarely “just habits”
Many people use food, screens, control, or avoidance as a form of temporary relief. It’s rarely about weakness — but about old patterns, unconscious conditioning, and emotional strategies that once made sense.
That’s why I tailor your treatment:
Some patterns are habits
– and can be broken like habits
Others are emotionally driven
– and require deeper release work
How this approach differs from other options, such as classic talk therapy alone
We work with the cause – not just the symptom
Importantly, at Prue Bach Hypnotherapy we work with the why, not just the what — and how your deepest patterns drive your reactions.
Body and mind are connected
Many methods stop at thoughts. Here, we also work with the body’s reactions and emotional layers, so the change is felt from the inside out.
You get practical tools
– to regulate yourself in everyday life as part of my Feel Good Living coaching
That means you don’t just change a habit for a while — you build new, supportive habits and resources that last.
You grow in freedom, not control
It’s not about forcing yourself to stop something. It’s about regaining control of yourself (authentic power) — so you choose instead of reacting automatically.
No more symptom management
Many people temporarily stop a problem with willpower, rules, or motivation techniques — but because the patterns run deep, the behaviour often returns. Here we work with the cause, not just the symptom.
It’s not about perfection —
It’s about you being in charge of your patterns, not the other way around.
Why hypnosis works for habits and unhelpful patterns
Many approaches to habits are about willpower — e.g., “just stop…”
But habits, impulses, and automatic reactions are largely driven by the unconscious mind and the body’s emotional memory.
Hypnosis can:
Connect mind, body, and emotion
– so you respond from choice, not automatic patterns
Dissolve old automatic reactions
– not just “tug at the surface”
Create new neural pathways
– that support the new habits
Strengthen your mental freedom and control
– so you take the lead
Hypnosis doesn’t mean “magical trance” — it’s a collaborative process where you’re in control, and we work with what lies beneath the habit: emotions, stories, self-perception, triggers, and response patterns.
This isn’t “quick fixes” – it’s deep transformation you can truly feel in everyday life.
Ready to experience the change for yourself?
Book a free, no-obligation call today – and find out what drives your habits, and how we can break them together.
Issues I help with
Hypnosis is effective if you experience:
- Dependence on behaviours to soothe discomfort
- Recurring patterns you can’t break
- Habits formed in childhood, trauma, or stress
- Patterns that hold you back in relationships and quality of life
- Racing thoughts, negative self-talk, or perfectionism
- Problems with self-regulation and procrastination
Many people experience several of these at once — and at Prue Bach Hypnotherapy in Vejle we work holistically, so you get integrated support, not fragmented treatment.
Traditional methods vs. Prue Bach’s holistic approach
It’s not about “fixing you” — it’s about setting you free.

What I wanted was to get a full night’s sleep every night.
I’ve had insomnia for 12 years.
The conversations before the hypnosis itself were a bit too information-heavy; it was hard to remember it all.
The hypnosis sessions felt safe and comfortable. It was simple and without any ‘hocus pocus’.
Mental symptoms – Yes, more belief in myself
Physical symptoms – Yes, more rested
Thought patterns – Yes, I think: ‘I can do it’ and not ‘I can’t sleep’
Behaviour patterns, ways of acting and habits – I don’t have so many things I have to do during the day in order to be able to sleep at night.
It’s hard to explain what ‘happens’ in hypnosis, because nothing dramatic ‘happens’. Really, it’s a calm, quiet conversation.
The hypnosis treatments and the conversations have worked and had a positive effect, as I’m sleeping now, because I control my own thoughts. I’ve finished treatment.
What surprised me was how easy it was.
Prue is welcoming, understanding, full of energy; I felt comfortable.
If I were to wish for anything different, the conversation before hypnosis could be a bit shorter.
There was clearly a professional and competent approach to the treatment. Everything was good.
I would definitely recommend Prue Bach and the clinic to others.
For many years, I’ve had a strong craving for sugar. I wanted to get my sugar cravings under control, which I’ve had since I was a child.
I had no expectations, as I hadn’t heard of anyone trying it. I just read about it online and thought it could be exciting to try. I’m also a qualified nutrition advisor, so I had my diet under control and I exercise often. But there was still something psychological that made me eat a lot of sugar in the evenings.
I am VERY surprised at how positive it has been. After 1 session, Prue had done something so there was constantly a barrier between my thoughts about sugar and the sugar itself. I didn’t think about sugar at all, and when people asked, I automatically said “no thanks”. More and more people told me how crazy it was that I’d stopped snacking. So already after the first session, Prue had hit on something that meant I had no sugar cravings. At the very first session, I felt a sense of safety with Prue. Prue was so calm and really good at explaining things in a way you could understand—and even feel!
Session 2 was deeper. That’s where she got to the root cause of my sugar cravings. That cause made me choose sessions 3 and 4. I’m so glad I chose sessions 3 and 4, because it helped me close off something from my childhood that has bothered me for many years. I will therefore always recommend that people do all 4 sessions—especially if, in session 2, you find out why you’ve been dealing with these sugar cravings.
Even today, I still feel GRATEFUL to have met Prue. Every day I try to remember all the positive things she has taught me.
Psychological symptoms-
Mentally, she has healed me 100%, if you can put it that way. I had so many negative thoughts in my everyday life, and they took up a lot of space. I actually have no negative thoughts, and if people are negative, I’m good at saying that my life is too short for negative thoughts.
Physical symptoms –
I’m much more refreshed and active. I enjoy my workouts much more, and my walks are worth their weight in gold—not just something I have to get through. I’m also more active with my child.
Thought patterns –
I only have positive thoughts, and no negative ones. I’m good at forgetting the negative and turning it into something positive, and being grateful for the life I have.
I’d like to keep the cause of the problem private. But it’s from my childhood, with parents who worked a lot. It was nice and relaxing to be in hypnosis. Prue has helped me pause and actually live life now—so I don’t have to work as much as my parents did. I’d rather live life now by being there for my child and watching him grow up, and I’ve stopped working in the evenings and only work when he’s in daycare.
YES YES YES, without a doubt, the hypnosis treatments and the conversations have worked and had a positive effect. I’ve been to a psychologist, and this is much better and more useful. Hypnosis is something you can use in your life right here and now—and for the rest of your life.
I definitely feel fully treated. I’ve achieved a positive change that I never thought would happen. Every day I’m grateful to have met Prue.
Prue did everything right. She is so calm, present, positive, and just lovely. Someone you really dare to open up to. I liked that she had written notes so she could remember EVERYTHING I had said—it really shows that she’s passionate about her work.
There’s nothing that could have been better or that I would have wanted differently.
There was a professional and competent approach to the treatment. Prue had it all under control. She didn’t read from anything or anything like that. She was good at giving useful examples that made sense in relation to where I was in life and what I needed to change. The level of service was high.
I would recommend Prue Bach and hypnotherapy to others. I give Prue Bach my warmest recommendation, and the clinic is lucky to have her. I actually miss my sessions with Prue, because I felt like with each session I flew higher and higher. But right now, I’ve ended up in a place where I can see my ENTIRE life changing into so much positivity. The sugar cravings are gone, I have a normal relationship with sugar now – I FEEL GOOD
Dear Prue,
Well, some time has passed now, and I’d like to start by saying THANK YOU—both for the fantastic process we had and because I’ve really felt the results. It’s SO amazing.
In general, I can tell you that my sugar cravings are COMPLETELY gone. Since we last saw each other, I haven’t eaten any candy at all. In social situations, I’ve had ice cream a couple of times, but it hasn’t made me fall back into old patterns. I can’t remember if I’ve ever felt like this. I just don’t have the craving or the desire. Not because I’m telling myself I’m not allowed to. So of course I hope it lasts for the rest of my life 🙂
I also feel calmer inside, and I’ve gotten better at checking in with myself about what I want and at saying yes and no—basically being the LION 🙂 There’s still a bit of a way to go, but it’s much better than it’s ever been.
Whether I can manage the whole not-working-too-much thing, I don’t know, since I haven’t started yet. But I’m thinking I’ve got you in my back pocket if it becomes necessary.
So again, a thousand thanks for a fantastic collaboration. And THANK YOU for helping me get rid of my constant sugar cravings. I’m SO grateful.
Have a fantastic weekend,
Lone
Hi Prue,
Thank you so much for last time and for your emails.
I’ve downloaded 6 phases 🙂
Yes, as I write this, it’s 35 hours since I last ate candy and the like 🙂
It’s been quite a few years since I’ve managed to go 35 hours completely without sweets—counting dark chocolate too.
I’m thinking about sweets—but I can stay away from them.
After our last two sessions here in January, I’ve gained a whole new insight and understanding. Thank you 🙂
And the videos you’ve sent me—I’ve just watched the one with Esther and Dr Joe Dispenza, and the one with the explanation—they deepen the understanding even further.
I’m sitting here again thinking that there’s good chemistry and understanding between us—and that means so much for me being able to take it in—for the understanding to sink in.
I love your energy and your commitment—even if it means you sometimes talk fast 🙂
I’m really happy that you find the time to send the different things after our sessions.
Louise Hay in particular I’ve been into for many years—on and off. I’ve seen the film where she works with people living with HIV. She has something I’d like to radiate and embody energetically myself.
Esther/Abraham I listened to a lot some years ago—and they keep popping up from time to time.
Thanks for this time 🙂
Best regards,
Jeanette
To curb sugar cravings so I can lose weight, which has been a problem for me since childhood.
The conversations before the hypnosis were thorough and positive, and the hypnosis sessions really hit the mark and were powerful.
I lost 7 kg in about 1 month and changed my thought patterns to be more positive, so I look up and am more approachable. I eat healthier and find it easier to steer clear of what isn’t good for me. A big bonus is that I feel I’ve gotten help to change my mindset, so I shut down negative thoughts much faster. It’s easier for me to stay focused on what’s good for me.
The cause of the problem was old habits.
The hypnosis experiences were easy for me to relate to because Prue created a safe atmosphere during the hypnosis. The hypnosis treatments and the conversations have worked and had a surprisingly good effect. Prue was good at helping me see new paths. I feel fully treated.
It surprised me that, based on a couple of conversations, you can change an old habit from one day to the next.
Prue was skilled and present. There’s nothing that could have been better. There was a very professional and competent approach to the treatment, and the level of service was absolutely perfect. I would recommend Prue Bach.
Thank you for the help.
For many years, I’ve been overweight, worked too much, and been really bad at taking care of myself. I’ve eaten too much food and far too much candy. And I’ve had periods where I was active with training, and other periods where I was completely inactive. So overall, my wish was to get rid of the sugar cravings and, hopefully, lose weight as a result. But I also wanted to work on the patterns and beliefs that were the reason I sabotaged what I wanted.
I wanted to be able to stop eating candy and sweet treats. To live a more active lifestyle, where I was better at taking care of myself and could work less. That I would be the one in control, not the other way around. I wanted a life with more energy and a more active lifestyle.
The conversations before the hypnosis were incredibly valuable. Prue is really good at seeing the whole you, and so skilled at asking the right questions and getting to the core of what needs to be worked on. You get a lot of aha moments along the way.
Hypnosis is hard to describe. It’s like you’re fully awake and aware and know what you’re saying, yet sometimes you say something you didn’t expect. And the things Prue says somehow sink into the subconscious and, in just a few sessions, can change patterns and thoughts you’ve carried for years and haven’t been able to do anything about on your own. It works😊
I’ve definitely felt a huge change! I feel calmer inside. It’s like I’m finally standing up for myself and acknowledging myself— all of me. Accepting that I contain both the positive sides and the shadow sides. And embracing it. I think more positively. I’m also more aware of thinking positive thoughts and stopping myself if my mind starts racing too much.
I’ve become a bit more active than before. My constant craving for candy has completely disappeared. The craving stopped after 3 sessions and hasn’t returned yet. Since the last session, I’ve had cake and ice cream on three occasions, in social settings. I was curious whether it would cause a relapse, but it didn’t. I can manage the craving and can have something if I feel like it when I’m being social, but when I’m at home I find that even if I might want a treat, I don’t want candy at all. Then I come up with an alternative solution. I have a bag of toffees lying around that’s been in the cupboard for weeks. That would never have happened before. It’s a very strange but truly amazing feeling. For SO many years, I’ve been used to craving candy every single day, not being able to walk past the candy aisle in the supermarket without buying something, always having something in my cupboards. So it’s really nice to feel like I’ve gotten control back.
There’s no doubt that the hypnosis treatments have worked! As I said, my sugar cravings have completely disappeared. And at the same time, I’ve resolved some of the underlying issues that were the reason I ate far too much sugar. I feel like I’m done with treatment for the things I came in with. And it also brings a sense of calm to know that if I notice other unhelpful patterns, I know where I can find help to resolve them.
Prue is amazing 😊 Both as a practitioner and as a person. She’s of course professional and competent, but also truly present, authentic, and full of good energy. She’s good at seeing you— the whole you— and asking the right questions. And that makes her so sharp at getting to the exact issue that needs to be worked on in today’s session. She has an approach that combines the scientific and the spiritual, which for me makes her truly inspiring and motivating in the way she works. Through the hypnosis, I’ve resolved the things I came for, but I’ve also gotten tips for tools and inspiration you can work with yourself to strengthen your personal development outside the sessions. In my case, for example, within areas like meditation, mindset, and manifestation.
I’ve already recommended both Prue and the place to others. It works 😊
My primary motivation was to stop my daily glass of wine, which I was “attached to”, and also the evening smoking. Over the month and a half while I waited to meet you, my list grew, as I thought there were many things it would be nice to get rid of: childhood issues related to my parents, body pain, the need to increase my positive thoughts and outlook on life, and to lose a little weight.
How have you experienced your changes?
- I managed to control the urge for my evening glass of wine after the second night, which I couldn’t do before, and more than a month later I don’t think about it much and it has become the new me, and I’m super happy with it. It’s probably more the fact that I can control my impulse, which is amazing.
- I don’t mindlessly snack anymore, and I’m much more aware of it.
- I don’t let as much negativity into my head because of past wounds, and I encourage my brain to replace the negative image with positive ones to reset my brain to a new past. It doesn’t get fooled that easily, but we’re working on it, and I’m not giving up. Slow but steady progress.
- I’ve been calmer and more composed, and reflected more on myself. I look forward, less back.
Did anything surprise you?
- The belief that my mother was at the core of my lack of attachment.
- That I talked a lot under hypnosis and could give good reasons for how I felt.
- The fact that I wasn’t very happy with “the other me”: at first I didn’t think I could make it happen and talk to the other me, until I started crying and your explanations and the results of why the other me was protecting me—it was actually very liberating.
- Being able to imagine myself as a baby, and the clarity of it, and how emotional it was.
- The amount of emotion I was filled with and released during the session. I don’t generally cry—3 or 4 times a year—but I’ve cried enough for the rest of my life with you. It indicated all the raw emotions that couldn’t wait to surface and be dealt with.
- A lot of communication at the beginning and lots of explanations. At times my mind was a bit overloaded. I think you share your passion and you want to give back as much as possible; I definitely took a lot home with me, and I’m exploring a lot of what you said. I didn’t feel I had a chance to absorb it all and process it, as there was so much. Maybe you adapt your techniques depending on who you have in front of you and understand how to explain things accordingly. . Even so, I found it fascinating.
- I thought it would be easier to stop smoking than to stop drinking. But apparently not. That was a big surprise. Or maybe I’m not ready, but I really felt ready.
The treatment was amazing! Very intense, a fantastic experience, passionate, and you gave me plenty of time. I could always feel that your goal above all else is to help people find a new path and find peace and harmony in their soul. You radiate good and positive energy, and you are the best example that we can all have what you have.
I recommend you. Everything ran perfectly. The hypnotherapy worked. This experience had a profound impact on me—Prue helped me understand a lot about the past, present, and future and gave me lots of tips, and I’m very grateful for this. She went out of her way to help me with my long shopping list.
I use meditation daily, or hypnosis with some apps. I really look forward to it, and it helps me. It’s a wonderful journey ahead that I’m looking forward to. Thank you for all the time you’ve given me and your big heart.
Dear Prue,
Today it has been 492 days since I quit smoking, and it is quite clearly thanks to your help.
Thank you so much for your help.
I’m still impressed by your professional approach to the task and your lovely, calming way of helping me get back on the right track. Hypnotherapy can help so many people with different challenges.
I can warmly recommend you and your skills.
Thank you for being you.
Best regards, Kalle
Hi Prue
I’m sending you a few words here as a reflection on the course of sessions I had with you.
When I came to you, I was very curious about what hypnotherapy is and what it could do for me.
My experience has been that it’s been a very intense process, and there’s been a lot to digest and take in in a short time.
I think the idea of working with the subconscious and the things that may be stored in the body is really exciting and interesting.
What I mainly take with me from the sessions is thinking about when it’s the cat or the lion that gets to speak. I can feel that changing the inner dialogue is a long process, but becoming aware of it is the first step toward creating change.
I also think more about when my thoughts take over, and about the awareness that I can decide when I want to stop the stream of thoughts.
I’ve gained a belief that I can get what I want in this life by believing in it, being focused on it, thinking about it with positive thoughts, and feeling what it will be like.
I’ve also become aware of working on being more present and not constantly thinking about the future, because in doing so I’m depriving myself of the opportunity to enjoy what I have right now.
Thank you for a great course of sessions.
Best regards, Anne Sofie
Hi Prue.
I’d like to start by saying a thousand thanks for a couple of really great hours together (1 session).
Besides the nail-biting issue, I got a lot out of our great conversation and have honestly been able to feel a difference in my day-to-day life afterwards.
The nail-biting has completely stopped, and I haven’t had such nice, completely normal nails in 20 years 🙂 I’m honestly proud of myself and very grateful for your help.
I’ll write a review on the site and have already recommended you to a colleague 🙂
Once again, a thousand thanks for the help, Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year 🙂
Kind regards
Lasse Lund
I did a course with Prue over four sessions.
I wanted to get rid of my major sugar addiction—which I’ve had since my very early teens—and also lose a few kilos.
Working with Prue, I truly managed to see sugar from a different angle—an understanding of why, and a completely NEW INNER understanding that it doesn’t benefit me in any way whatsoever. Understanding that by letting it go, I can get even more out of life
Now, 14 days after completing the course, I can say that I’ve had virtually no withdrawal symptoms, and my cravings have shifted in a significantly healthier direction, which means I’ve already lost weight.
Over the four sessions, we very effectively cleared out the traumas from my whole life that were behind it.
Prue has an amazing presence and is full of positive energy. She’s sharp and quick, in a great combination with deep empathy. At the same time, she manages to create a safe space.
I’m impressed by Prue’s skills and can highly recommend her.
Hi. My name is Michael, and I’ve had the pleasure of going through a hypnotherapy course with Prue Bach.
My main challenges were that, for a long time, I’ve depended on others to be happy. I always think of others first, and I want to solve all their problems and make sure they were OK before I could “allow myself” to be happy. I wanted to change this so that my happiness would come more from within and not depend on everyone else.
Throughout the course, we worked both on the conscious mind through conversations and the subconscious through hypnosis. I’ve previously seen a regular psychologist, and I find hypnotherapy much more effective. Working on both levels delivers much better results.
Working on yourself is a lifelong journey, but through my course with Prue, I’ve taken the next big step and I’m ready to make some necessary changes in my life.
I can truly only recommend Prue, because I think, firstly, she is incredibly skilled and pleasant as a therapist, and secondly she has the ability to make the course personal and focus on what I specifically need.
I believe everyone could benefit from a course with Prue. Everyone has things they struggle with, and it’s a huge relief to suddenly become aware of what’s holding you back. Let it go and start a new chapter with yourself. If you’re unsure whether this could be something for you, my recommendation would be to simply do it.
Investing in yourself is, in my opinion, the best investment you can make.
Dear Prue,
I would like to thank you for the excellent treatment. I have gained a lot from my course with you.
I have stuck to my 3 months without alcohol, not eating after 7 pm and have felt really good about both. And the very best part – being able to set a goal and stick to it.
It has also been wonderful to wake up without negative thoughts.
I’m exercising
I’m making myself a priority, e.g. I’m currently on a training course – and I stuck with it, even though I’m actually far too busy.
And I’ve lost weight. 3.5 kg. It’s not much, but it’s slowly and steadily moving in the right direction, and I’m really pleased.
So thank you so much,
Hildur
Dear Prue,
Here are some answers to the questions I’ve addressed:
I came to hypnosis with the aim of getting my sugar cravings under control. I’d thought I was probably someone who gets very easily “addicted” to things that are meant to sweeten my life.
I started smoking cigarettes when I was about 12, and since I was 35 I’ve been drinking far too much. I didn’t have it under control. I smoked and drank even when I didn’t feel like it. Alcohol was probably the worst. I could be sitting at work thinking: today I’ll just drive straight home from work, no stopping to buy a bottle of red wine. BUT then, when I was in the car on my way home, I just couldn’t control myself at all. So the wine would be bought and drunk in record time so I could fall asleep on the sofa.
When, after 23 years in the US, I moved back home to Billund, I stopped smoking and drinking. It was super easy, but I replaced my cigarettes and wine with: sweets, cakes, chocolate.
And then I couldn’t control that consumption either. I could be lying in bed thinking: you’re not getting up to eat, you’re not getting up. BUT in the end I got up and ate all sorts of crazy things to make my thoughts stop.
So the problem was: I felt awful inside and tried to forget it with cigarettes, wine, or sweets. I just wanted to sleep it all away.
When I was awake, I wasn’t present in the Now. I constantly had thoughts and fantasies about a completely different life than my own. I think I’ve always been like that—making up a better life than the one I had.
How you noticed your change (physically and mentally) – behaviour, habits, mindset, feelings
I felt it the first time I was in hypnosis. After that session, I haven’t had thoughts that constantly revolve around sweets, cakes, chocolate. I can shop for groceries or watch others eat sugar, but it’s almost as if I don’t see it. It has no appeal for me. There isn’t an alarm bell that goes off—sweets, sweets, sweets, I have to eat it. I don’t see it.
I also don’t have thoughts that constantly spin fantasies about me and a different life. I’m present right now in my own life. I can watch TV without zoning out. I can listen to love songs without bursting into tears.
I’m happy when I wake up, I’m happy when I go to bed tired, I smile all the time—both on the inside and on the outside.
I repeat my mantra thousands of times throughout the day. If I start a fantasy, I can stop it by saying: you are right here, right now.
How did you experience our sessions – both the conversations and the hypnosis
I think it’s been such a huge experience for me. It worked—words were put to what hurt. I’m so grateful that I met you, Prue. I got to say goodbye to all the old crap my parents had made me believe. The first hypnosis was probably the deepest. All 3 hypnoses were necessary, though—new impressions keep coming up, and I can see that the last hypnoses are working inside me.
For example, I can have my parents visit without getting completely upset and feeling the urge to drink myself drunk or eat sweets when they’ve left. Now I’m the lion that doesn’t swallow everything whole. They don’t get under my skin. Now they’re just people I talk to a little.
What surprised me is:
That I can’t see sweets, cake, and other unhealthy things
That I’m truly present right here and now.
That I KNOW I’m good. That I’m the best at being me. I don’t need to imagine or try to be someone other than myself. I’m good just as I am.
That I don’t sit there getting so teary-eyed when love songs are played.
That I don’t spend my time on fantasies.
In conclusion, about you as a therapist and your treatment, I can only say that it worked. It was so nice to get rid of all the old crap I’ve been carrying around for far too many years.
Prue, you really got close—it felt so safe and easy to tell you about my life. You were 100% with me the whole time; your laughter, your lovely smile—it was so wonderfully contagious to be with you. Your presence, warmth, kindness, love, and your genuine excitement about my progress.
I’d love to recommend you—I can only say it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever tried.
You’re welcome to share this—I can only warmly recommend you and hypnosis.
Warmest and most loving regards

“I came to lose weight – and left as a new version of myself!”
I came to Prue to lose weight and build healthier habits. We had a total of 5 sessions, and along the way we worked on so much more than I ever imagined.
I not only quit smoking and lost 5 kg (and I’m still going!), but with her holistic approach I improved myself in several areas of my life.
She helped me find the LION within me!
After the very first session, I could feel the change – and each time, we went deeper and deeper into the areas where I could grow.
She helped me work through my anxiety, insecurity, setting boundaries, and finding my true self and stand stronger in myself – in a way that could be felt in every part of my life.
Now I feel calm, at peace – and ready to continue the journey toward being the best version of myself every single day.
So I can only recommend Prue if it’s change you’re looking for.
“I have a nasty habit of biting the inside of my cheeks and my lips. Over the past few years it’s gotten really bad, and I now do it many times throughout the day. I try not to, but it happens completely unconsciously. It’s worst when I’m using my head for work.”
Hi Prue,
I hope you had a good weekend.
Things have been going so well for me since our last session — also at work.
So I was wondering if we could perhaps postpone the fourth session a bit, so I can see how things go and get a better sense of what we might need to keep working on?
Thank you so much for your help so far — it has really made a difference!
Kind regards,
Julie
Hi Prue,
Thanks for last time, and I hope you’re doing well. I certainly am.
I’ve now been enjoying the new me for a couple of months and have written down a few words that I hope you can use for something:
When I contacted Prue, my problem was that I had a constant battle in my head when it came to “snacking”. After a big weight loss (before I met Prue), my goal was to keep the number on the bathroom scale down—and it certainly wouldn’t hurt to get it even lower. It took up so much space in my head that, for example, on the way to Legoland with my son in the car, I spent more energy thinking about whether I should “allow myself” an iced coffee than talking with my son about what we could do at Legoland. I could gain weight if I didn’t stick to my “proper” diet. I was convinced that THIS was exactly my problem / my challenge: food and the craving for it. Otherwise, there wasn’t really anything “wrong” with me.
It worked really well with the conversations for a good 1½ hours before the “time in the chair”. I felt 100% safe and had the feeling that I could just talk freely about everything! Because the more open and honest I was, the greater the chance of “turning the ship around” —because even though I thought there wasn’t anything else wrong with me, I wasn’t doing well. I was under pressure and constantly mentally overworked.
During the process, I gained greater insight into why I was the way I was, who I wanted to be, and since then I’ve had many thoughts. Positive thoughts! I had no experience with hypnosis before the process—only an idea that I would lie in a chair and be completely “gone” and not be aware of what was happening to me. I’m positively surprised at how easy it was for me to surrender to the hypnosis. Probably because I felt so comfortable in your company and because I truly wanted a change. I had no doubt that something “happened” to me. It was the wildest feeling when I woke up from the hypnosis. It really worked for me, and I could feel a change in myself. Joy, energy, drive, lightness in my body. All in all, so many good feelings!
My problem was really that I was wildly insecure! My urge to “snack” was my quick fix because eating made me happy—or at least that’s what I told myself. But afterwards I’d be annoyed with myself again, and nothing had changed. I was far too busy focusing on what others (maybe) thought of me and who I was, instead of tuning in to what was important to me—and only me!
During and after my process, I’ve let go of the mental noise about other people’s opinions. They can think what they want; that’s not for me to deal with—or at least I don’t want to waste unnecessary energy on it. I’ve put my bathroom scale out in the garage and decided that the number on the scale is irrelevant. If I’m happy with what I see in the mirror, then that’s how I should be. My relationship with food is much more relaxed. If I want to eat chocolate (snack) with my kids, then I do—and I enjoy it—without feeling guilty afterwards. My mind and my body aren’t overworked like before, and it’s wonderful! I’m doing well and I’m happy with myself.
I’m so happy I got in touch with you, Prue.
It’s been a life-changing experience, and I’m deeply grateful to you for your help.
You’ve been recommended to many people in my circle! Good experiences should be shared.
Thank you!
Julie

From 5-PATH® to holistic change
When we work with habits, many start with 5-PATH hypnotherapy because it:
- Creates clear structure in patterns
- Provides insight into the causes
- Starts the change in the unconscious mind
- Paves the way for new action patterns
But deep and lasting transformation often happens when we combine:
Quantum Hypnosis® Transformation, QHT®
– releases deep causes and energy patterns
Feel Good Living (FGL)
– creates inner calm, self-acceptance, and balance
Mental Fitness & Manifestation Coaching
– strengthens consistent action, focus, and success
When structure, energy, insight, and intention come together, the big perspective shift happens:
You move from surviving your habits — to living with inner freedom, agency, and self-respect.
QHT goes beyond habits – it changes your identity, energy, and the way you meet life

An example of what’s possible - here with the Quantum Hypnosis® method
A woman from Vejle came to me with severe pain in her mouth, which was eventually diagnosed as Burning Mouth Syndrome (BMS), caused by stress and anxiety. Her issue turned out not to be “just” physical — it was connected to old patterns that were deeply held in the body as an unprocessed habit and emotional patterns.
“My burning mouth pain, which doctors explained as stress and anxiety, disappeared completely after two sessions with Prue. The programme gave me not only physical relief — but a life reset, where old patterns let go and calm returned. I’m deeply grateful for it!”

What a typical programme with me looks like
A programme for unhelpful habits always starts with you – your life situation, your needs, and what you want to change.
1. Free, no-obligation call
We start with a safe conversation where you get clarity on what you want to change — and together we find the approach that fits best: 5-PATH, QHT, or a combination.
2. Initial mapping
Here we explore the underlying causes of your habits. We look at your patterns, emotional triggers, and what you’ve tried before — without judgement, but with curiosity and understanding.
3. Hypnotherapy & deep work
We use the method that matches your situation. This may include:
- 5-PATH to break reactions and release subconscious habits
- QHT for deeper release, somatic integration, and identity change
- FGL for awareness, balance, and new habits that feel natural — and therefore good
4. Integration into everyday life
You get tools and awareness to put the change into practice — not just once, but as a new lifestyle. We work with emotions, self-image, and energy shifts so the old patterns don’t return.
5. Duration and frequency
Most programmes last 2–4 sessions of 90–120 minutes. Many notice clear shifts after the first session — but deep transformation happens when body, mind, and energy work together over time.

FAQ – frequently asked questions about hypnosis & habits
How does hypnosis work for habits?
Hypnosis helps you work with the subconscious patterns that drive your habits. Instead of willpower, we work with the deeper causes — so you gain calm and control.
Can hypnosis stop habits permanently?
Yes — many experience lasting changes because we work with the cause, not just the behaviour. It goes deeper than “just stop” techniques.
What’s the difference between hypnosis and talk therapy?
Hypnosis works with the unconscious — where patterns are stored — and often creates deeper, faster change.
How many sessions does it take?
Typically 2–5 sessions, depending on the programme, themes, depth, and your goals/ambitions
Is hypnosis for habits effective – even if I’ve tried before?
Yes. Many come to me after trying everything else. Hypnotherapy, especially with QHT and coaching, goes deeper than many classic methods.
Is hypnosis scientifically supported?
Yes. Numerous studies show that hypnosis for stress can be effective, as can hypnosis for anxiety, pain, and habits. When hypnosis is combined with cognitive behavioural therapy — as in 5-PATH — research shows the effect often increases significantly. Hypnosis is also used today in many hospitals and pain clinics worldwide.
Am I in control during hypnosis?
Yes — hypnosis is a safe, collaborative process. You are awake, aware, and in control the whole way.
Do I have to believe in hypnosis for it to work?
No — but openness and collaboration create results.
Yes — and that’s one of the things that truly sets my programmes apart from many others.
In addition to the sessions themselves, you always get practical tools you can use every day — not just temporary relief in a room, but real transformation in your everyday life.
That means you take home:
- Audio files for support, calm, and mental integration
- Exercises and reflection tools to anchor new habits
- Mental Fitness practice that helps you manage your state through conscious focus
- FGL principles (Feel Good Living) that help you create self-love, body calm, and stable balance
Where many traditional hypnotherapists offer only the session itself, I offer you the whole package: session + support tools + everyday training. That makes inner change easier to integrate, deeper to anchor, and longer-lasting in your life.
For me, it’s not only about what happens in the room — but about how you live your life afterwards.
How do I know whether it’s a habit or emotionally driven?
We’ll figure that out together. Your first call brings clarity — and then a plan that fits you.
Deep change. Clear direction. Proven results.
Ready to get your calm back?
If you’re tired of letting fear take the wheel, you’re ready to do something different. Let’s have a no-obligation call where we figure out together whether I’m the right person to help you.
